Toyota Donates ’50 FOR 50′
MONTGOMERY, Ala., March 16, 2015 – In 1965, thousands marched from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama on a journey for justice. All across the South, college students participated in the 54-mile walk. As the country recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the historic event, Toyota this week donated $50,000 to four Alabama historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) who played an essential role in the quest for civil rights and equality.

Tokyo, Japan, March 13, 2015 -- Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) today announced it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to become part of The Olympic Partner (TOP) program.
The agreement runs through to the end of 2024 in the mobility category, which includes vehicles, mobility services and mobility solutions.
Changing the Course: High School History Teacher Honored for Engaging Families in Children’s Education
When high school teacher Kristen Whitaker arrived at work March 11, she knew there was a school assembly. But it was really just a ruse, set up to surprise her as the 2015 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year.
The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) and Toyota recognized Whitaker for her efforts in engaging students’ families in their children’s education. She receives a $20,000 grant to fund a family summer camp program she created for low-income minority students and their families.

ERLANGER, KY, March 9, 2015 – Just in time for Women’s History Month, the National Association of Manufacturers has honored three Toyota engineers for significant achievements.
Toyota Auto Body California Production Manager Rhonda Gilyard and Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing North America’s General Manager Susann Kazunas have been named 2015 STEP Ahead Award honorees by the National Association of Manufacturers. In addition, Toyota Technical Center Engineer Jacquelyn Birdsall is recognized as an "Emerging Leader." They will be honored on March 26, 2015, at the Washington, D.C. Hyatt Regency Hotel.
